Route One Building Consultancy are proud to have been supporting the UWL’s property team for a number of years helping with their extensive portfolio of properties of varying size and age.
Works have generally included:
- Pre-acquisition surveys on teaching and student accommodation space
- Dilapidations Advice
- External repairs and maintenance
- Roof renewal
- EPC upgrade assistance
One of the most recent schemes has involved the inspection, specifying, tendering and management of external works for two period properties on their Ealing campus – Vestry Hall, home of the music department, and DSL, the drama studio.
Vestry Hall was extensively repaired and returned to its former glory. Works included specialist terracotta colour matching and repair, new stone detailing, brick repair and replacement. DSL was a grand stucco property requiring decoration, structural repair and complete balcony replacement.
Given the nature of the client and their teaching operation, timings for projects were key and all projected programmes were met within original budgets.
