Background

Having been involved in successful projects with developer Baylight previously, Route One was appointed to act on their behalf in respect of Party Wall matters for the development of four new residential dwellings.

Challenges

The project involved the redevelopment of a land-locked site in the centre of a residential block in Fulham. The site backed onto 20 residential properties, all impacted by notifiable works under the Party Wall Act.

With this number of Adjoining Owners, efficient administration and coordination were critical to avoid project delays.

Outcome

By encouraging Adjoining Owners to liaise with one another, Route One successfully limited the number of party wall surveyors appointed. This helped expedite the agreement of multiple Party Wall Awards and enabled the project to commence on schedule.
